Energosoft IK, the Service Partner of the System Operator of the Unified Energy System

In the end of 2012, Energosoft IK won an open tender and signed a service contract with OJSC System Operator of the Unified Energy System (SO UES) for technical maintenance of all Barco video information display systems in 2013.

According to the terms and conditions of the contract, the scope of responsibility of the service partner covers 48 branch offices, located in the area from St. Petersburg to Khabarovsk, with a total of 700+ video cubes.

The group video information display systems (video walls) are intended to provide dispatchers of regional dispatch administrations with real-time information about the system operation and events in the network.Prompt availability of data is essential to SO UES branch offices in order to perform their key functions, that is:issue daily dispatch orders and instructions to energy companies and power consumers.The high-quality performance of such functions has a direct impact on the effective fulfilment of the main task of the System Operator:management of technological operating conditions of the Unified Energy System of Russia in real time.

The advantages of video wall cubes made by Belgian manufacturer Barco N.V. include top quality of display, reliability, a wide range of functionality, and low operating costs.

Energosoft IK has been effectively cooperating with Barco N.V. for years. During this time, the companies developed dozens of joint projects for installation, upgrade, and servicing of video walls used at dispatch centres of energy and production enterprises.

The main task of Energosoft IK as a service partner of OJSC SO UES is to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted work of the group display systems and perform regular repair and preventive maintenance of the video cubes.In addition, service maintenance includes "fine-tuning" of the equipment:correction of geometry discrepancies between the cubes, optimisation of the video wall colour uniformity, etc.

According to the service standards, any faults shall be corrected within shortest time.For example, for Moscow this time is equal to 24 hours, for the Moscow Region—48 hours, and for the rest of the branch offices—72 hours.This work can only be successful if sufficient resources are in place:highly qualified engineers, availability of own stock of spares and consumables, and a network of branch offices.
